'Racking our 'Frames' (and other Art & Design Magazines)

(by Blackbiscuits on Flickr. Creative Commons)
We've been busy over Reading Week working on the Magazine collection at Newcastle College Art Library.

Instead of having to sift through pamphlet boxes for the latest issues, or risk tearing the copies by pulling them out of the old fashioned wire racks, all the latest editions are now easily accessible and on display in purpose built, perspex holders near the door of our branch in Mandela Building. Back copies are still available on request - just ask the staff.

Even if you aren't on an Art & Design course, its well worth checking out the collection if you have any interest at all in fashion, photography, fine art, ceramics or web design, etc.

We have a broad portfolio of titles and have built up quite an impressive archive of back copies too (eg we have Vogues going back to the 1960s), so feel free to come over and browse next time you are passing.

The Art Library is on the first floor in Mandela building, open 9.15am til 4.30pm Monday - Thursday, with a 4pm finish on Fridays.
