Want to be a Library Apprentice?

We're hiring again - this time looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Library Apprentice to join our team to carry out a wide range of library tasks.

Your duties will include supporting the learning needs of students and staff at Newcastle College: ensuring that appropriate resources (books, study areas, IT facilities, etc) are available, and assisting users to access library services.

Educated to GCSE level, you must have good interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus and be able to work well as part of a team. You will be expected to work a 37 hours week, including release to study towards your Library and Information NVQ.

This post is fixed term until 27 July 2013.

Full particulars of the posts are available here and you can download an Application Pack here, from the Newcastle College Job Vacancies webpage, or by enquiring in person at the Shared Services Department, Newcastle College Sandyford Campus, Sandyford Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 8QE.

Closing date for application is 9th September 2012 and interviews are provisionally scheduled for Friday 21st September.

Best of luck!
