Heritage Open Days

After a stressful first week back on College, why not do something cultural with the family this weekend?

Starting today (6th September 2012) and lasting until this Sunday, some 218 events are taking place around the North-East offering free access to museums, stately homes and historical properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

From behind the scenes at BALTIC to a tour of Newcastle Castle Keep; from free entry to Segedunum to a "tutored beer tasting event" at Darwin Brewery in Sunderland; it is a once-a-year chance to discover hidden architectural treasures and enjoy a wide range of tours, events and activities which bring local history to life!
